"Light is Like Water" is a visual exploration of the boundary between the domestic and the divine, inspired by the short story of the same name by Gabriel García Márquez. In the story, children break a lightbulb to let the "golden light" flow out like water, my self-portraits in different stages of life are submerged in a luminous medium of air and ocean, suggesting that imagination, when fully unleashed, possesses the power to both liberate and overwhelm.
