This digital merchandise design makes up for the gap between traditional craft and modern illustration. Inspired by classic storybook aesthetics and pop-culture character design, "Hooks for Hope" presents a playful, winking protagonist engaged in the act of creation.
"Wonderland Odyssey" is my visual exploration of spiritual landscapes colliding with forgotten childhood memory. Centered on the nun girl "Chaos", the digital painting depicts her journey through a surreal, snowy world of ever-prosperous civilization. Spectacularly, we can see how mechanical structures of ancient, bone-like wings and melting lollipop architecture established the terrain. The work plays creative role to depict the juxtaposition of innocence and ancient, cryptic systems of belief.
At the third painting of this strange wonderland, a Buddha's head, held in a classic Mudra gesture of teaching, serves as a sacred tombstone. The act of placing the bouquet is a gesture of silent devotion, intertwining the simple, cartoonish innocence and the complex, mechanical goddess. Through vibrant color and a dreamlike narrative, "Wonderland Odyssey" invites audiences to consider what still persists when history becomes a forsaken place.
